Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash

I got this really good travel size sample from Sephora and finally got the chance to try it a few weeks ago.  Overall, I like this cleanser very much.  I had an allergic reaction (I know again) a few weeks ago in my lower chin, and I couldn't put anything or use anything in that spot.  The cleanser I was using was out and I had nothing else in stock (yes, surprise!) except for this, so I had no choice.  But I was genuinely impressed with this cleanser, it felt good on my sensitive chin, no compliant.

Origins products are also known for using natural ingredients, no wonder my skin likes it.  I really need to stick with these type of products, I had such a bad experience with Bliss eye gel, will share later!!!

Anyways, back to this wonderful cleanser.  It's a white creamy texture and lathers into milky foam with water.  The smell is probably the only thing that mildly turns me off at the beginning, it's minty to the point where it reminds me somewhat of a toothpaste scent. But I can deal with it and have gotten used to it now.  I read in some reviews that people didn't like the squeaky after-clean or that the skin felt dry after using it.  I personally like the squeaky clean feeling, I hate those so-called milky cleanser where my face still feels oily after washing it. And the dryness that some people complained about it, well it didn't happen to me.  And the best part is.....the price!  It's very affordable, $19 for 5 oz and you only need a little bit each time so the tube will go a long way.

The Origins line is definitely reasonably priced so I will for sure try out their other products!  I hope you all enjoy this cleanser just as much as I do.

L'Oreal Youth Code Daily Treatment Eye Cream

I ran out of eye cream and decided to give the drugstore brand eye cream another try, got to watch the budget during the holidays!  There were so many to choose from but the "New" formula on the package attracts me, plus it has a special applicator, so I picked this over the others.  According to the instructions, you are supposed to use the applicator to apply the eye cream around your eyes, so I did.  While it does feel nice and cool using the applicator on my eyes but it was almost impossible to evenly spread the cream.  I still ended up using my finger tip to make sure it's all smooth on my eyes.

Now if you read the back of the package, immediately after using the cream the skin will become smoother and deeply hydrated.  Unfortunately, my skin was exactly the same as before applying the cream, not hydrated at all.  :(  The problem continues...I then tried to apply a bit more around the corners of my eyes because I have more fine lines there.  I noticed that the cream turned into white powder, no wonder my skin is still dry!  It wasn't absorbed into my skin at all....UGH!!!

Take a wild guess what happens to this eye cream.....yes, you got it, I returned it!  What a waste of time and money!
